Over the past few weeks, DS has taken to sitting on the potty (in our living room) when he eneds to go, without telling us, fully clothed (or just in his underpants) and peeing thru them. While I'm pleased that he's obviously making the connection that he should go when he needs to, I'd like to either convince him to tell me so I can help him pull them down, or work on him pulling them down himself. (We're working at teaching him, and he likes to try sometimes at bath, but doesn't seem to connect that with going potty.)
I'm not overly worried about the wet clothes, but don't want to create a bad habit, you know? Am I over-thinking/worrying? Will this sort itself out in time?
For reference, he's pretty good about telling us when out and about, letting me pull his pants down to go before leaving the house, etc. He's been fairly independant thorughout this PT process, so this isn't a suprise exactly, but it's just not what I expected...
