Sound off?

We want to give our girls ethnic sounding/family names (Katerina, Natalia, Nadia, Mira) and have a very slavic sounding last name. Would it sound off to give them a middle name of Emily or Erin (in memory of my sister Emily Erin). I would like to honor my sister but don't want their names to sound off/forced. Does Natalia Emily Babic (similar last name,) sound ok or would it sound better if we used a more ethnic name like Natalia Salome Babic?

No, I don't think it sounds off at all.  I think adding Emily or Erin it actually softens the whole name.  I love that it's in memory of your sister.

While I adore Salome, I like the idea of honoring your sister. The problem (and it's not really that big of a problem) comes when you give one of the girls something like Katerina Salome, and one of the girls something like Natalia Emily. You will have to keep in mind the style of the names.

I hope you can find two combinations that go well together! Just beware of the combinations of Katerina Erin, which sounds very repetitive, and Mira Erin, which sounds very matchy-matchy.
