Pull Ups/training pants

DD is currently potty training. She's been doing pretty well going pee on the potty when I tell/ask her to go potty, she doesn't yet tell me when she's got to go and she hasn't yet pooped on the potty.  I have been using Huggies Pull Ups for her because that's what her day care likes to use, makes it easier to change the kids I guess, but I notice DD scratches her behind every so often and feeling the inside of the pull up I realize it's not all that soft.  Have you had any luck with another brand and does any other brand have the easy open sides like Huggies?  TIA

Re: Pull Ups/training pants

  • We use Target brand for bedtime since she moved to panties a week ago. They are not as cute as huggies but they are pretty soft, they feel more wet to your DC and they are cheaper for more. They also have the same velcro sides the huggies have.

  • The Pampers ones are much softer but I can't remember if it has the open sides or not. I thought the Huggies ones felt almost like a swim diaper No

  • The Huggies brand chafed the inside of DS1's thighs really badly!  I bought our grocery store brand to try but haven't really yet (Publix) - they have the open sides.  Good to know about the Target brand - thanks pp!

  • I thought the Pampers brand were much softer and liked them better.  But they don't have velcro sides, they just tear away.  Which was fine with me, because the velcro seemed to bother DS anyway.  However, the Pampers were not very absorbent at all.  Even one pee would leak right out.

I use Pampers Pull Ups for DD and they have velcro sides. Maybe it's just a different design/style?
