I have never voted in my life (I'm 33) but I am finally a registered voter (as of the last presidencial election which I did not vote in). I'm going to check out votesmart.org but I am very intimidated by it since I've never done it so I don't know if I'll go vote. is it hard? can someone give me a run down of what you do?
Re: confession (voting)
You go in and fill in bubbles, or touch a screen, or punch holes in things, and that's it. It's very easy.
You've really never voted, even once, in your entire life?
Mine too. I've missed one election, that's even counting primaries, in my entire voting eligible age.

That was nice of you to do for him
I get being intimidated by the process, but it really isn't hard to vote. Maybe you and he can go together.

I promise you won't be sorry you voted.
Me too. Like I said before, I even got special permission to leave bedrest to vote in the 2006 election. I had just had my fusion a few weeks before but the dr agreed when I told him how important voting was to me.

I can't vote for all but I have been trying to keep up with a few candidates and feel pretty informed in my decisions. If I don't know enough about it I won't vote for it, which is one of the reasons I never registered to vote before, never kept up with politics.
