I've been to Rheinfels Castle. Smile  I lived in the Rheinfels region for three years.  I'm jealous that you are there as an adult.  I was too young to enjoy the wine.

    It was tough to move here while I was pregnant and not be able to try the wine and beer!  I've enjoyed some of the wine in moderation now.

    The area around Rheinfels is beautiful!  And that is just one of the coolest castle ruins - I mean, they let you explore underground tunnels!

    I hope you get to come back and visit again.  I remember you saying you missed the bread here, so I often think of you when I get especially yummy brotchen from the bakery.  :)

    We'll be here 3 to 5 years...or possibly longer.  But 3 years for sure. We're doing our best to take advantage of being here to travel as the budget allows.  I'm really lucky to have this opportunity.

    I can't wait for the Christmas markets to start.  I'm pretty excited about our first German Christmas.  :)
