I think I could (maybe) figure this out if I played with it for long enough, but I am short on time. I have a pdf file of different sayings in a starburst design for Sam's superhero party this Sunday. I think there are nine on the page. I want to enlarge each one (there are three different designs on the page) and print them one to a page.
Can anyone tell me how I can do this if what I wrote above makes any sense?
Re: Can someone explain to me how to do something with a .pdf file?
If you only have Acrobat Reader, it is not an editing software. You'd need the full version of Adobe Acrobat. Later versions of Photoshop can open and edit pdf files, and most versions of Adobe Ilustrator.
You can use the "snapshot" tool (looks like a camera with a dashed box, I believe) to copy and paste the element you want to work with and change the sizing/layout in a different program. If you don't have Photoshop or Elements or another design program, you could probably make this happen in Word (turn off text wrap) or Paint.
You won't be able to manipulate the pdf file itself and you may notice some decrease in resolution/skewing of the original graphic.
I took a snapshot and it saved it to my clipboard, but I don't know where to find the clipboard in Word. I am slightly cluelees about this stuff. Oh well.
The pdf is from a website that has it listed a a free printable for party decorations, but who wants a 2" x 2" logo?
Really?! Thank you!
I will send you an email in just a few minutes!
