Changing bedtime routine

Has anyone changed their bedtime routine to try and get LO to sleep better?

What was it before and what did you change it to?

Did it work or did you go back?

 TIA

Re: Changing bedtime routine

  • We went and stayed at my ILs house for a about 2 weeks and since everyone was wanting to see LO and play with her she was going to bed around 11pm and she normally goes to bed around 8-9pm! So when she wAs going to bed around 11 she would wake up super early like at 4-5am. So since we have been home we have been trying to put her back on routine to 8/9pm and she normally sleeps till 7/8am! We just feed her, bathe, massage and put her down for the night( we also try and keep it more quiet around bed time so shes relaxed and doesnt get all stimulated to play)

  • Matthew's bed time routine has changed gradually. We stopped trying to read a book at bedtime because that made him hyper. It used to be bath, then feeding, book and snuggle time. We used to start at 7:30 pm. Now it is solids (1 veggie w/meat and 1 fruit) with 1 ounces of formula, bath time, massage, 4 - 6 ounces of formula, and snuggle time. Bed time routine starts at 8:30 pm.
