Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Is anyone?

Is anyone taking their LO trick-or-treating?

I ask because we just had a couple we know as if we want to join them. Their LO is 7 months. I had only planned on taking DD to houses of people we knew and stopping early. Is it normal for babies this little to go trick-or-treating?

Re: Is anyone?

  • We are going really early and only to the IL's and a few of our close neighbours that ds#1 can walk to.  I don't really see the point of taking them when they are this small except to show them off to family and friends ofcourse, lol.  Even at 2.5yrs ds#1 doesn't fully understand the point and certainly doesn't need all of the candy.

  • We aren't. IMO it's tacky to do full out trick or treating with an infant. I totally get taking baby along with siblings but no need to take candy for someone who can't eat it.
  • Nah.... I'd just end up eating all the candy and God knows I dont need that.  We will have her answer the door w/ us dressed up until it is bed time.

  • We plan on sitting on the porch as a family, with Z dressed up, and passing out candy.

We did do TOT and the zoo yesterday. We walked around and passed all of the stations with my friends lil girl. We refused all of the candy and excepted some of the little toys they gave out.

I also made pumpkin teething biscuits for Z. His grandparents will give him those when we go to their houses.

  • Nope. She'll be asleep.

DH and I will take turns sitting home with DD2 and handing out candy, and taking DD1 around to a few of the neighbors' houses.

This will be DD1's first Halloween where she's actually awake. Last year she conked out at the dinner table and didn't even go ToTing.

  • DS is at his dad's so DH and I are going to my parents' house (2 doors down) to hand out candy. We're going to sit out in the driveway. DD and I will ne in costume (and maybe DH!). I think my sis and BIL are coming with my nicf e. They'll all be in costume, too.
