I'm only 21 weeks right now, but starting to think about packing my hospital bag. I had DS at 32 weeks and didn't have a bag packed and spent 5 days in the hospital feeling pretty yucky (hygiene-wise).
So, what do I need to pack? I know I should bring the granny panties in case I end up with a c/s, but I can't think beyond that and a toothbrush.
Re: What to pack?
When I had DD I bought trial sizes of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and body wash.
I wish I had brought a better nursing bra that was 2 sizes too big!
Baby nail clippers,
an empty diaper bag for all the stuff you end up taking home.
Going home outfit for baby
Camera
I also bought a cheap pillow that was comfortable b/c the ones at the hospital were awful, (I left it there)
I can't remember anything else (probably b/c I should be asleep right now!)

Patiently waiting for little brother!
toiletries (shampoo/soap/conditioner/toothbrush/toothpaste,etc)
toothbrush for DH (someone said her DH's breath got to be a big issue during labor because of her heightened sense of smell) & clothes for DH to sleep in if he's spending the night
Music/other things you may want in labor
Coming home outfit, blanket (although we stole...er.. took enough of the hospital ones that we didn't need a blanket)
Camera w/ batteries/charger
Nursing tank & comfy outfit to come home in
Shower shoes if you'd prefer
Prenatal vitamin / other supplements you may want for nursing
copy of birth plan if you have one written out
