I just found out I'm pregnant for the first time. YAY! We are super excited but now, all i can think about is "what if I mis-carry?" Is this normal??? I'm really excited about this pregnancy and dont want anything to happen. I even wake up in the morning with a nervous stomach. Anyone else feel this way? How do I make it stop???
Re: extremely nervous 1st timer.
that fear has been normal for me
I don't think you can make it stop. Just try to take pleasure in the fact that you are pregnant and enjoy every day of that, otherwise you'll go through your pregnancy and wonder where it went.
your nervous stomach might be morning sickness

This is so true.....not to say that women don't miscarry but most of the time it's because something was very wrong with the baby and it was the best thing to do. We have to have faith in our bodies and in whatever else you believe in that it'll happen if it's meant to. Not to say that we don't still worry. Unfortunately, I've had personal stories of very late losses amongst my friends so until that baby is in your arms, it's never "safe" and even afterwards for the first 1.5 yrs I was a worry wort when he slept.

Notes:
This is great advice. God made us to support , carry, and deliver a baby. Its one huge thing that women are made to do.
I made that post "another worried mother.."
I completley understand the fear. But, the replys to that post were VERY helpful.
I aggre with Krislax, I have miscarried twice and I spent the first week and a half of this pregnancy totally freaking out about miscarrying again... But the truth is we can't do anything so just relax and enjoy the ride!
I know this will sound odd... I am nervous too.. very nervous.
But my best friend has been going through invitro and something that sticks with me alot is that she once told me... The only way to know if you ovulate is to actually get pregnant.
So if something happens to this pregnancy I will be extremely sad... but I will know that the possibility of getting prego again is extremely high. Plus what another poster said... having a miscarriage usually means nature knew something was wrong with the baby. Not something you did.

Nope.
OP- I think being nervous is normal. Just try to relax and enjoy being pregnant. Remember, right now you are pregnant and you love your baby.
