1st Trimester

I was hoping I wouldn't get it...

Ugh, morning sickness.  I was hoping to be lucky enough to not have it, but it hit me like a truck this morning.  I haven't actually gotten sick, just nauseous and gaggy.  And I have to make a grocery list today.  Usually I love planning dinners, but it's not fun this time around...

  • Ginger tea, it sounds disgusting but it works wonders! Also, see if you can get Zofran if it gets really bad.

  • It was like that for me on my first prenancy. So far I'm in the clear, but not holding my breath! Always having something in my stomach helped me a lot.

  • That's how I was with my DD, nothing's hit me with this pg yet so I wait with baited breath to see what this baby has in store for me ;)  I used to keep saltines on my nightstand and eat 2-3 before I got up for the day (just sat up and ate them).  Helped with the morning got hit by a truck feeling.  Also drinking enough water and sour candy (like sour jolly ranchers) seemed to help with the excess saliva/nausea feeling.

Hopefully it will be over by your second trimester :)

  • My mother never got sick but i unfortunately have been, I know what you mean with the gaggy part, it seems like some days every little thing turns my tummy.  I have found that literally grazing on healthy simple things all day help keep my tummy under control.  Smile
  • My sister clued me in to ginger ale (normally I would die to drink this, but strangely enough now I love it!)  And also she said saltines during the night when you get up to pee and in the morning will coat your stomach enough to keep the feelings at bay.
