I have a FFFC

Ready?

I've never read Harry Potter. Ever. Not a word. Not even the back cover.

But I lurve me some Twilight. Big Smile

I have never read a word of HP either!!  I have read all of the Twilight books, but I'm so over the hype.  It was a nice trip down memory lane - first love, high school, etc.

  • I literally read the first sentence of the first harry potter book, and closed it. I like to read, but not that kind of stuff. DH loves harry potter and twilight. I'll watch the movies though

I've never read either of them.  This is why...I'm a grow-up.  Yep, that's my UO or FFFC, whatever you want to call it.

What's a grow up?? LOL So what do grow-ups read?

  • I was an early Harry Potter dissenter. I vowed never to read those goddamn books. I typically hate bandwagoneering and fads.

Then I got mono, was sick for two months straight, and picked up a copy of the first Harry Potter book.

Damn. Shiit is good. Really good. Part of me is ashamed to admit that. The other part is dressed up as Dumbledore and can't wait until "Dealthy Hallows" comes out in theaters.

  • This FFFC could have easily been mine, except I have read a few pages of one of the HPs (not sure which one) when I was tutoring a 2nd grader in college.

Yes, I really enjoy the Twilight series, but I understand it is nothing compared to actual, classic literature. "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "The Importance of Being Ernest" are two of my classic favorites.

    LOL.

DH used to bash Harry Potter nonstop, but he had never read any of the books.  I told him he couldn't hate on it if he hadn't read a single book.  After reading the first book, he subtly exchanged it for the second off of our bookshelf.  Then the third, fourth, fifth, etc.  The dude loves it more than me now.

So to all of you HP haters who have never attempted to read the series, you have no idea what you are even bashing.  Give it a try.

    Sooooo true.

I resisted and ended up started them when I was stuck in a car waiting for like two hours. It happened to be sitting on the floor of the car and the rest is history.
