Breathe, SAC, breathe. DS woke up and fussed a little, so I nursed him back to sleep. Sometimes that makes milk pool in his mouth and every once in a while, he'll cough. NBD. Well, just now he coughed and inhaled simultaneously. There was a high pitched squeak then...nothing. His eyes were huge and watering. His face was red and he was making no sound. I flipped him face down and smacked his back and turned him upright again. He swallowed, started to breathe and proceeded to giggle at the clock (his favorite thing to stare at). While he was giggling, I had to actually tell my heart to start beating again. I have no clue what happened. Probably just milk down the wrong pipe but he's never done all that before. Maybe there was still food in his mouth from dinner? Could that be possible? Should I be checking for that? Moot point because from now on I surely will be. BTW, he's back asleep like nothing ever happened.
