How many trick-or-treaters do you usually get?

Last year we didn't get a single one. I'm hoping for at least a few this year- esp. since I bought Reese's PB cups and cannot be trusted with a whole bag of them if we have tons of leftovers.

Re: How many trick-or-treaters do you usually get?

  • Two years ago we ran out after we handed out 5 bags of candy.

Last year we didn't get a single trick-or-treater except my two neighbor kids.

    It was really weird.

  • We usually just get the kids on our street, so about 20.

  • I think I might have overbought, but we do get a pretty good number.  There are tons and tons of kids in our neighborhood, and even in our cul-de-sac, but we do live in the back of the neighborhood and not on a main thoroughfare, so we get less for that reason I imagine.

  • We get a ton of trick or treaters. We are also on one of the main streets people use to walk to the parade. When we bought our house the sellers told us that on halloween they would get trick or treaters until 11pm. They "warned" us to be prepared. Ummm - shut off the light at a certain time and that means no more candy.

  • We get about 75 or so. Most are done by 8:30.
  • Zero and I doubt we ever will, we live on a private drive shared with 6 other houses and we all own a good chunk of property.

  • We get a couple hundred! No Kidding Either! Our neighborhood has a parade and then the police shut down the neighborhood and make people park to TOT. It is insane! We buy in bulk for candy, but the like PP's said, once the candy runs out...the lights are off and we stop answering the door.

  • Our current home: Maybe one kid if my neighbors come over.

Our old house: At least 150-200, maybe more...I'd lose count. We spent a fortune on candy and would still run out very early on each year.

  • Anywhere 200 and 300. Trick or treat was last night here and we are guessing closer to 300. We thought we were going to run out of candy.

  • Maybe 20?   Most of the kids in this area go around the lake. We live on a side street off the main lake road, so the only kids that come up our street live on the street.

  • 300+.  It is a mad house here.  Last year my neighbor lost count at 296, and we had ToTs for another 60-90 minutes steadily.

  • None. We live up on a hill with a steep driveway. If someone made the trek up to ring our doorbell, I'd be super surprised.

Maybe 100? I don't count :) but we usually run out of candy and have a very large bowl.
  • We usually get somewhere between 250 - 350. It's insane. I live in a complex of townhouses, and it seems like everyone from the town and some towns over bring their kids here. It's a fun time, though. Everyone sits outside and there's music and the police even come to make sure everyone is ok and stuff. Stuffing 300 treat bags, however...not so fun.

  • Tons!  Our neighborhood has over 500 homes and TOTing is a big deal.  I did, however, learn last year not to leave a bowl full of candy on my front porch.  Teenagers came by just before the sun went down (and didn't realize I was standing in my garage) and ran up and said, "People are SO stupid!  Let's take it all!"  Yeah, I called them out and I'm pretty sure it scared the sh!t out of them.
