Why is Everyone Name Changing??

I think it's because they had some sort of personal info in their name. Like first name or last name or any info that would give away such.

I saw a post the other day where she emailed the bump gods before changing and they carried over the status to the new name

What? You can do that? I wish I had know before changing it 3 mo. ago. It took me forever to get to bronze.

SO are people really going to the bump to find stalking victims. Should I really be worried or is this for folks that post crazy crap and don;t wanna be identified?

The nature of crazy stalker people is not predictable. After being stalked on myspace I learned that anyone who goes on the internet and does anything (buys something, facebook, blogs, anything interacting) can be stalked. So you can remove yourself 100% from the internet, or just learn to be smart about it.

Yup, I e-mailed community@thebump.com and they switched my SN as opposed to canceling my account.

I'm sure this will be helpful info to some one else. I just didn't want to be labeled a newbie back then since I really wasn't. Thanks though.

 

The reason I changed my name is b/c it was my 1st name and maiden name. I don't think anyone would want to stalk me; I'm boring.

Just an FYI - If you change your SN to remove personal info, yet have "the bumpie formally known as MRS STUPID" in your siggy, it kinda defeats the purpose.
