New to the board-girl names

Hi ladies, this is my first post to the board.

What do you think about the name Isla? Do you think that it will become too popular over the next few years?

Also, do you like any other these variations of the name Rose for a middle name- Rosabel, Rosena, Rosalin, Rosel and Rosaura?

Isla has been becoming more popular lately but I don't see it being in the top 10 anytime soon.

Its an ok name but I dont love it.

Isla Rose sounds really pretty. I'm not a fan of the other Rose variations.

I think people might be a little burned out on talking about Isla. It has been the topic of a great many posts lately. That being said, I love the name, it is on our girl list. Based on the number of people who ask about it on this site, I do think it is quickly gaining in popularity.

My favorite Rose name is Rosalind.

Isla is the fastest rising name according to the SSA website. I don't expect it to be in the top 10, and I've yet to meet one, but it is a popular name on this board.

I love Rose on its own, but Rosalin is nice also...I do think it's a bit much with the S and the L with Isla..in fact Isla Rose is probably my favorite combo.

I love it! It is DD#2's middle name. It is becoming more popular but in a way it's a good thing because more people will be able to pronounce it correctly!

I think it's a lovely name, but if popularity is a concern for you I wouldn't use it.

ITA also that Rose is a great name as-is. Not a fan of the variations.

Isla Rose is a beautiful name! Isla is a name I like, but I can't use it b/c it would sound ridiculous with our last name.

I don't see that as a problem considering how many people are becoming familiar with the name, and unless you're working with a doctor or government official who doesn't know her and calls out the name in a lobby, she'll most likely meet everyone in person (or via email, in which case pronunciation is not an issue)

I guess what I'm saying is, don't let others lack of knowledge stop you from using a name you love. On the other side of that, if this is all it takes to scare you off of a name, then maybe you don't love it as much.
