Do you use "real" shampoo on LO?

I am still using the shampoo/body wash that I bought when DS was born.  I'm just curious if others are still using this or if you've moved on to real shampoo for their hair?

ETA: I should clarify that by "real" shampoo I mean baby shampoo (tear free) not adult shampoo.  I'm just thinking I should stop using the 2in1 kind that is also body wash.

  • Same here.  Besides the fact that we have several bottles left from what we received at baby showers, I like that it's No Tears and a combo body wash/shampoo.  I'll probably continue to use it for several years - at least until her hair isn't so baby fine.

I think I'm actually going to have to buy more of the burt's baby bees soon. I love that stuff and I'm sure I will continue to use it for years.

Ditto this, and Aveno I switch it up. I'm too paranoid about getting real shampoo into her eyes at this point.

  • We bought some Paul Mitchell Baby Don't Cry when he was tiny because someone told us it would help with cradle cap.  I don't know if it really helped any, but it smells amazing and doesn't mess with his eczema. The bottle seems like it'll last forever though.
  • still use baby shampoo here.

  • we usually use the tear free stuff that we have always used, but yesterday i took her in the shower with me and there was none in my bathroom, so i used the regular stuff.  i got shampoo in her eye and she freaked out, plus her poor little eye looked like she had been in a fight all red and swollen. :(  and so back to the baby shampoo we go.  FWIW, her hair was super soft after the regular shampoo. *shrug*

  • I use a tear-free baby shampoo (Up & Up nighttime kind). The way he wiggles around during bath time, there's no way I want to risk getting real shampoo in his eyes.

  • We still use California Baby.

I don't think most move to "real" until they are old enough to bathe themselves.
