Baby girl with this name in gym class last week...

Beana (or Bena or Bina)... not sure how it was spelled but pronounced BEAN-uh, like Gina or Tina with a B.  My friend said she's heard it before and thought it was italian, but I looked it up on a few sites and it says not found. 

The little girl was so cute so the name grew on me just within that 1 hour class.  wdyt?

Bambina is an Italian term of endearment. I swear I've heard bina as short for that.

I know a little girl whose name is Sabrina and her mother calls her "Bina" and "brina" which I like better. It also reminds me of the Italian word Bambino (refers to little boys).

I went to HS with  Bina- she was of Indian ethnicity though.

The lower elementary in the school where I teach has a book by Madonna called English Roses and I'm pretty sure that there is a character named Binah in the book.

My neice is Brina. Bree-nuh.

It was originally her great grandma's name but they changed it to Berenice at Ellis Island.
