Here are my options for tomorrow:

Go off island for the entire day, use my gift card for a pedicure, get my Starbucks and do a little shopping...ALL ALONE.

Have my DH take all the kids with him off island, do our usual grocery run, let me have the house to myself while he's gone so I can get some cleaning and projects done without interruption from the kids.

I NEVER (and I really mean never) have the house to myself.  So I'm really torn.  At the same time, getting pampered at the spa sounds like heaven...and I even have a new book to bring and read.

I was going to say option 1, but when I saw that you said you never get the house to yourself, I'm in favor of option 2. I totally confess to calling in sick to work once in a while, taking the kids to school, and having a whole day to myself at home to catch up on stuff and just be alone without interruptions. A pedicure is pretty to look at and relaxing to get, but for me, things crossed off my to-do list and a clean(er) house, are good for my soul.

Both sound absolutely heavenly. But since we are coming into the weekend, I would opt for #2. Being home alone in my house to get some things done so I didn't have to look at them this weekend would be so nice.
