...the BG love? It seems like it makes up the majority of a lot of peoples stash, but I'm not a fan. We have one, but it is my least favorite diaper and one of my bulkier ones. It doesn't fit my chunky monkey that great.
Yep. We used them on DD as her night time option for a couple of months, but then something happened and they started leaking. Luckily, this was about the time I had started looking into wool, so we just put a wool cover over them until all of my B4s arrived. We'll use them again for DD2's night time diapers until she's big enough for B4s. Other than that, I agree...they're bulky and not that cute. I don't understand it, either.
I've never tried one and after the fiasco and AWing for the release of the new prints, I'm not sure that I will. If I won one, sure but I doubt that I'll drop any of my own money on one.

I think they are popular because they are one of the most easily accessible brands. I have 7 or 8 that I got on sale and then 25-30 well loved ones that only go to MIL's. DH is scared of snaps so I had to have some that he would at least use. I will admit, until I started CDing I thought it would be the most simple system, but once I got started I found that I enjoy trying the different styles and fits. I have no problem with the way they fit E and they work just fine for us. They just aren't the first dipes I reach for anymore.

I didn't love them at first because of this. I also don't really like the flap at the top - I think it makes it bulkier. But now that DD1 is older and bigger (and now that I've converted them all to snaps - I have 3.0s), I like them a lot more. The wide pocket is great for nights because it can hold the enormous volume of inserts I need to contain DD's pee. I personally don't think there's any OS diaper that is perfect for all stages of a baby's life. Some will fit better at some times, others at other times. Another reason to have a varied stash
The Elementals work really well for us & we have 12. Other than that I've sold all my 3.0s b/c they leaked for us no matter what type or how many inserts I put in them. I think they just weren't a good fit on DDs build.
