A little request

Will everyone who has a Halloween candy siggy pic please reply here?  I can't have any Halloween candy this year b/c of DS's allergies and Hot Sauce's snickers pic is making my mouth water.  I want to just scroll down the post and pretend like I'm enjoying some Halloween candy.

Re: A little request

  • I would just like to compliment you on how great a mom you are and how lucky your LO is. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for you to change your diet so drastically so you can continue to BF.

Thanks, unless this is sarcastic.  There's a lot of snark around here lately and it's hard to tell sometimes.  Wink  I've been on a restricted diet since Matty was 3 or 4 months old, so I'm getting used to it.  It has nothing to do with any BF superiority complex or anything.  It's just that he's allergic to both dairy and soy, so it would have been hard for us to find a formula that worked for him.  Plus, I'm hoping that the antibodies in breast milk help him outgrow some of these allergies.  It's hard on me, but it's going to be really hard on him as a kid.  I feel terrible because I feel like I must have done something wrong when pregnant to "cause" this.

    Don't you DARE think that.

Allergies happen. As crappy as it is, you are being an awesome mom to your son!

Feel free to lick my siggy anytime.  Wink

This is a test. This is only a test.

No, not sarcastic at all. Sorry.. I am really not a mean person, but I can see how (today) I come off that way. Really though.. I admire what you are doing for your son.

You didn't do anything, please don't blame yourself (I know easier said than done). You know what, it is going to be so much easier for Matty to handle all of this down the road because he has YOU as his mom.
