"Secret"

Hey Everyone,

I am a new member to The Bump! I was a member of the sister site " The Knot" last year before my husband and I were married. I am 23 and this will be our first baby! However, my husband and I did have an early miscarriage on August 1st this year. So, we are praying things go well this time around.

Last night we just told my parents. Tonight, we are possibly telling his side of the family at his sisters birthday party. This funny thing is, we know that his two sisters are "secretly" planning to tell everyone that they are pregnant, but they don't know that we are too. lol So, if it works out to share the news without killing their surprise, we will let them know! Hope it does well!

We told them and it went well! I wasn't sure at first because the girls told me without all the family being there at the party (including my husband)...so I didn't want to share our secret until all the family members had arrived (which this is a family of 8 kids, 4 who are married) so it's a large family...

Anyways...shortly after they told me that they were pregnant, I stole my sister-in-laws birthday card from the table and wrote on the back "Surprise, we are pregnant too" .. and the inside of the card gave direction to read the back anyways! lol So...when she went to read the card..she laughed at the joke inside...read the back to see the joke on the back...and then eventually saw the small print writing I added to the bottom of the card and gasped. It was hilarious. Then everyone looked around at each other as she hugged me (because they didn't know what the card said...but I think they kinda knew) Within 30 seconds everyone got it. Good times. So there will be at least 3 grand babies in May, June, and July....and I'm quite sure my other sister-in-law will be pregnant again shortly...making it 4 grand-babies ....Good times...!
