Babies: 9 - 12 Months

PSA -- "103 Virus"

I'm not sure if this is only going around the DC area or elsewhere, but I wanted to give you a heads' up.  For the past 2 days, DS has had a decreased appetite, nasal congestion to the point where he can't breathe through his nose, and a fever in the 102 - 103 range (ear).  Tylenol and Motrin bring it down to 100 - 101, but that's about it.

Pedi says it's something they are calling the "103 virus."  It's just a nasty cold virus that takes 4-5 days to work through.  The poor baby is miserable and didn't get to go to school today.  (The  kids were supposed to wear their costumes today).  :(  DH is home with him now and I'm hoping he feels better for the class party at 4:00.  If so, I want to take him, even if just for 10 minutes, so he can see his friends in their costumes and I can drop off the cupcakes I made.

  • Weird. I've never heard of this.

Strep throat is pretty common around here right now. There is always something going around.

  • LO had something similar last week, minus the fever. He has a lingering cough right now though.

This. I'm just chalking it up to a cold/virus that's going around his DCP. I have a cough/congestion too, but I got that from my lovely co-workers.
