Found 250 balls for $20 so I'm going with that plan. Now I have to figure out what size pool to get.
I'm deciding between a 66X18 ($19.49) or a 48X10 ($7.63). The review for the 48X10 pool said that one of the people used it for exactly what I'm doing - a ball pit for baby's first birthday party. Said it worked great. I also like the price of that one. I just keep wondering what if the bigger kids would want to do it too (around 5 yrs. old). Then I think I should get the bigger one.

Re: One more ball pit question (clicky)
I found it on amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002KPGCU/ref=oss_product
I decided that I'm okay with having a few balls. I don't think that they need to sink down into it or anything. Just enough balls to toss around and play in will be okay. I went with the smaller pool.
In store at Toys R Us (they didn't have them online). They are originally $24.99 but I had a 20% coupon so it knocked it down to $20.00. I couldn't even find them that cheap on Amazon or Ebay so I thought that even $25 was reasonable.
