I am in the same boat as you. I have had 2 losses & IVF costs are way high since we are OOP & the chances of it not working or turning out not how we want, we would like something better.
I just started researching online. I would search on google for adoption agencies in your state, there will be a lot of information out there. I have called many places just to get information on costs, timeline & what they offer. Some places don't return your call or email so I move forward. I've called lawyers in my town to see if they recommend anything as well. GL to you!.
Once we picked our facilitator I had all of my questions answered by them Good Luck and God Bless

We read both of these as part of our adoption training and both were extremely helpful. It's an overwhelming process at the beginning... choosing an agency and a program (domestic, special needs, international).

If you scroll down about 10 posts, there's our (brand new, not yet sticky) FAQ. You'll find lots of good info there.
Thanks to Dr. L for all her hard work on the questions!
In addition to the recently formed FAQs...at least for me...I found reading the Adoption for Dummies book really helpful as well.

This... and I also read The Complete Adoption Book: Everything You Need to Know to Adopt a Child https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Adoption-Book-Everything-Adopt/dp/1593373694
Very helpful...
