standing in crib

LO will not stop standing up in the crib!  He was getting so good at just laying down in the crib and going to sleep but in the past few days he will stand up before I can get out of the room.  I've tried waiting him out but he just sits there and talks and stands and eventually starts crying.  Any suggestions or is this a phase?

No suggestions, other than he may not be ready to sleep. But my LO gets up every morn, stands in his crib and points his finger straight to the sky, like the statue of lib... its so funny.

We have this issue, even when S is clearly tired. A sleepsack usually does the trick for us.
