I do not understand why the legal drinking age is 21. At the age of 18 you can vote, join the military and get married but you can't have a drink. I think that if you are allowed to die for your country, choose a president or start a family then you should be able to buy a beer.

Re: My U/O about drinking age
Mmhmm...totally agree.
Every time I say it around here no one agrees with me. I am surprised ya'll agree with me
That's funny cause I swear everyone I know disagrees with me. I'm glad it isn't an unpopular opinion elsewhere
Ha! I grew up in Canton, and I can't tell you how many weekends I spent in Windsor when I was 19 and 20....man, that brings back some memories.
ETA - MCC, I totally agree.
EVERY single weekend for me. As soon as I turned 19 all the way through 20. I was sick of the bars by the time I turned 22 (I went so much). I was living in Walled Lake during those years.
I don't think it's an UO.
In Europe, you can drink as soon as you can reach the bar. It's a normal way of life there.
I agree.
I also think we should do what Ashley proposed - up the driving age to 18 and lower the drinking age to 16. I think that would solve some of our problems.
