For the used diapers I've bought I rised, soaked in RnG, did a hand wash cycle, and two rinse cycles. Then dried with no heat on tumble dry. I didn't strip them because they had zero smell/staining etc.
For my new diapers I rinsed, did hand wash cycle, rinsed twice. Then dried with no heat on tumble dry.
Thoughts?
FWIW, I'm trying to figure out a way to hang a rope in our basement to hang dry the diapers - so I figured no heat/tumble dry would be okay until then.

Oh crap, I did the wash on Cold. That probably wont work. do you use detergent for all 5 cycles?
Most of the insides are fleece I think... I'm going to need to double check! I've got a mix of FB, kawaii, lil joeys, and a few WAHMs.
thank you.

If they're not natural fibers, one wash/dry will be sufficient. If they're natural fibers, you'll need to wash/dry a few times. Fleece/Microfiber are synthetics and only require one wash.
Also, I wouldn't recommend using the "hand wash" cycle because typically thats a gentler cycle and you really want the agitation to help clean your dipes, especially when you start using them. I usually do mine on a heavy cycle.
FYI - I hang our dipes (the shells, the inserts go in the dryer) over hangers, 2 per hanger, and hang them from our shower curtain rod. It works well and is easy. Just a thought until you set something else up.
