I started DS on solids last week. So far he's tried bananas and peaches. We did bananas for 3 days and peaches for 1 day, and he gags. The peaches actually made him throw up. I switched brands, and he seems to be doing better with the bananas (I'm afraid to try the peaches again). Is this normal? I'm feeding him oatmeal along with the fruit, and I'm making sure to not feed him fast. Could he be allergic, hate it, or is just not used to the taste?

A few things to consider...
1. You probably should give veggies first as I have heard babies that eat the sweet fruits first won't eat the not so sweet veggies. Just advice. Take what you want.
2. He may not like peaches and that is ok.
3. I agree with the above post that is could be the texture that is making him gag.
It is very common for babies to gag ... My son didn't, but he's a piglet and eats EVERYTHING I givve him.. lol
