Help!

So Ive posted before about my ds sleeping on my chest.

 This is getting very uncomfortable now that he is almost 15 lbs he turned 3 months on the 21. Talked to dr he said to do the 3 minutes of crying then comfort and put him back in bed. I am not worried about hin sleeping through the night he already does this i just want him to sleep on his own (off of my chest)

 I am going to start this next weekend so my sister can stay so I can nap during the day and have some help so I wont get frustrated.

 Has anyone had a similar situation and was this method successful for you. What was your solution or your suggestion. Its to the point where Im not sleeping well and DH and I have no sex life. I know its my fault for starting him on my chest but I wound like to break the habit before he is old enough to walk back in my room lol thank you ladies!

We had this problem (thank you, colic) and it was a long fix. We started by putting her in our bed . I would put her next to me with my hand on her chest. A night or two later I moved her arms lengh away but left my hand on her chest, Then we slept a few nights with no touching but still in the same bed. FINALLY we moved her to her pack n play. Started it right by the bed and moved it once she would sleep the whole night in it.

She was a month old when we did this transition so I don't know if it would be easier or harder for a three month old.
