scorched particles?

Our doctor told us that the sam's club/walmart version of similac was the same just cheaper so we bought a can to try.  Last night 2 of her bottles had brown/black particles in the bottle. We threw that away and called the company this morning. They said it was scorched particles due to how the powder formula is heated but we had to send a sample and they would test it and issue a refund since they had other calls about it. They said it was safe and just that some of the nutrients had burned off. 

Has anyone seen this before? I never noticed this at all with the similac and don't want to give our DD black particles!

I've noticed them in the Target version of similac

did you continue to use the target version or did you switch? i'm just trying to figure out if it's still ok to use or if i should switch back to similac
