Tips on brushing teeth - please help me

LO HATES when I try and brush his teeth,  He sticks his tongue out so I can't get his bottom teeth and he just tosses his from side to side making the whole experience horrible for both me and him.  Any tips to make it a little easier on the both of us

Get a toothbrush that you can put on your finger and some non fluoride toothpaste.

He'll get the hang of it. Just keep introducing it in the morning and at night.

I tried that and also a baby tooth brush. Same reaction to both.

what about if he holds the toothbrush too? Evan hates it when i hold the toothbrush but likes it when he thinks he's holding it by himself

This is what we do, but my sister just uses a washcloth on her baby's teeth.

We let DS "brush his own teeth" every night before bed and it has made him comfortable having a toothbrush in his mouth. It's much easier for us to brush his two little teeth now that he's a fan of the tooth brush.

Try doing it in front of a mirror where he can watch what you're doing.

I have DS watch me brush my teeth first, and I make faces and stuff at him so he can see how "fun" it is. He likes that, so when it's his turn, he's pretty tolerant. I use the rubber finger one.
