Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Interesting article

My husband came across an interesting article that I thought I would share. It's about cow's milk vs formula ages 9 to 12 months, and what the Pediatric Association in Canada says about it vs what the US says.

Not trying to sway anyone either direction... just thought the article was interesting.

Re: Interesting article

  • Here, meat/meat alternatives is also pushed as one of babies first foods at 6 months old (which is rich in iron that is easily absorbed).  Is it in the US?      I think the choice to intro. cows millk between 9-12 months should made depending on the variety  of food baby is already eating.

  • I completely agree on the point of it depending on what the babies diet was like. As I said, I just thought the article was interesting, seeing from one countries point of view vs another.

Most Pediatricians in the US tell patients to start with cereal, then fruits and veggies, then the meats, and so on. That is another interesting difference.

  • It is interesting!
