I know its been asked before, but I'd like your advice.
DD is 10 months today! Yay!
She's just getting her teeth and will occasionally bite me while nursing. Its always at the "end" of a nursing session, when she's probably finished, almost like she wants to play. She often nurses to sleep, but yesterday we had to rock to sleep because she started biting.
Of course I've heard the flicking idea, but that's not an option for us.
Also - I say "no" in a firm voice, but she thinks that's HILARIOUS. :-( I also use the "no" voice when she's doing something potentially dangerous, like reaching for the outlet or something, so "no" isn't new to her... but I also try not to over use it... KWIM?
Any ideas will be helpful. TIA... trying to get active on this board again, Mamas.
Re: Biting and nursing...
I was bite twice by DD1. Both times, I pressed her face into my breast instead of pulling away to avoid pain on my end. This typically caused her to remove herself from me.
Then I told her no biting,it hurts mommy and ended the session.
Like I said - it only took twice and she didn't do it again.
