TCOYF vs FF?

Hey ladies,

Do you ever find that FF's rules for charting seem to be slightly different than TCOYF? For example, on my FF chart this month, I got solid CH's, but there are several temps above the coverline before O, which TCOYF would say means the CL is incorrect. Do you guys pretty much trust what FF says most of the time or do you ever change the CH according to TCOYF rules?

Re: TCOYF vs FF?

  • I think one big difference is that FF also adds in your CM and OPK data - and according to those things, it does look like you ovulated when FF thinks you did. TCOYF's rules are more about just temps.

I know that I was pretty confused after looking at other charts when I just got done reading the book, since it didn't follow the "higher temp after 6 lower ones" rule. But it did say that some temps can be taken out by the "rule of thumb". This actually makes me very glad that i have FF to help with the analysis :)
