Success after IF

any help flipping days and nights?

So Eli has this past week decided that 1am-3am is a great time to be super alert and wanting held and played with.  This day/night confusion.....is there anything i should do to help get it switched?  Do i indulge and play with him or try to lay him back in his crib at the risk of him screaming?  not really sure what to do in this case...thanks!

Re: any help flipping days and nights?

  • What a cutie! I think it just takes time. I personally kept things dark and quiet at night when DD was awake. I would play slow music or talk softly with a stuffed animal or something but not "active" play. Then I would do the opposite her first awake time during the day. Lights on and more active play. Good luck.

  • When DS would wake up totally in the middle of the night, I would sit with him quietly in the glider and rock in the dark. I didn't talk to him, just snuggled quietly. That phase didn't last too long for us! Good luck!
