The office I went to for my first pregnancy has down-sized and they only have 1 MD. The wait time with 3 doctors was pretty bad, so I can't imagine how bad it will be with just one on staff.
I'm trying to find a new doc, but I'm having a hard time. I wish more offices had websites, so I could at least get a feel for the practice. We're not telling anyone we're pregnant just yet, so I can't ask for recommendations.
How did you pick your OBs office? If this office will be new to you, were there any sites that you checked to read reviews on the doc? TIA!
Re: How did you pick your OB?
Yeah, I want to deliver at the same local hospital that I did for #1. The docs I've found all participate with my insurance and have privileges at the hospital I want.
I guess I have a small list of docs to choose from, but I trying to figure out the best way to narrow it down from there.
Thanks!
Bummer, I totally feel you on wishing that there were more practice websites to go off of!
Even though you can't ask for IRL recs, can you ask on your local nest and bump boards?
Not a bad idea. It's worth a shot. Thanks!
Our nest and bump boards in MSP are generally pretty active so I've seen it work. It at least helps you narrow down who to consider or focus in on some who're on your short list you know, if they pop up in the recs?
All depends on an active board though, so I hope they're helpful!
