If your H is the only source of income, who is in charge of paying the bills and making sure they are paid on time? Him only? You? Or both?

That would be me.  We would be in BIG trouble if DH were in charge of those tasks.

He handles the medical bills and I do all the other bills.

When we had simpler insurance he did all the bills.  I don't think there's a right or wrong way to handle it as long as it works for you.

ETA:  I'm assuming you're asking who writes the check/pays the bill online/whatever.  In case I'm reading the question wrong, we have a joint bank account if that's what you meant by the question.

I never see the bills.  I have the steady income and work more hours.  DH is on commission, so his income goes to savings or home renovation.  I left him in charge of balancing the checkbook and getting the bills paid.  We converse about it maybe once a month when we want to change what we are doing to pay more on certain things.  Otherwise, he just tells me the balances on the accounts when I ask.  I really like it that way.  I do not have the time or the will to want to do all that.

We both have incomes but he makes much more than me. I used to do everything for probably 3 or so years but I got sick of being asked balances every day and I always felt like DH was asking permission to buy something so I finally made him take over so I dont have to worry about it.

I used to pay some of the bills when I had income. But now that I don't have income I am wondering if he would agree on me becoming a secretary since I am at home anyway!

DH helps with the big picture things.  I take care of the day to day/month to month management things.  If he tried to balance our checkbook, he'd get behind on a regular basis and we'd be destined to make dumb mistakes.  I just can't handle that stress... so I do it. 

ETA:  My paycheck is the consistent one... dh's varies every single month.  So for us, having everything checked, verified, and predicted several months out to the penny is critical to our financial well-being.

I pay 90% of the bills.  DH pays one cc and one student loan payment that are in his name.  I take care of everything else.  We also have a budget spreadsheet and I mainly balance that out.  It was like this when I was working as well.

My DH is an accountant, so I leave everything up to him. Even when we were a 2 income family, he still paid the bills. I have no interest in doing it.

We both work but DH is clearly the bread winner. I pay ALL of the bills because I am much more organized than he is. When we were dating he is the guy that would go off the balance on his atm receipt. We all know how well that works!

Dh works and I obviously stay at home-- I pay all the bills though, its just easier for me to keep track of and I have time throughout the day to log-in to the different sites and pay things

DH = no clue (unless he decides to ask about something randomly)
