Hyland's Teething Tablets Recall

https://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5936640/hylands_teething_tablets_recall.html?cat=25

My kids have each had their weight in teething tablets. I am sure it's just another Cover Your Azz type of recall, but I thought I'd share.

When L was about 13-14 months old he got into my diaper bag while I was nursing the girls.  I forgot they were in there and of course he found them and since its not a child proof cap he ate half the bottle.  I called CPS and they said since they are all natural that it was ok but to watch him for any changes in behavior etc.   Ugh!!!  From then on I put them in an old IB profen bottle that had a child proof lid.

  • all natural does NOT mean they're ok, the active ingredient is belladonna ffs

They freak me out, but were used sparingly with DS, nothing else worked.

    This.

Also, and this is not intended to be snarky, why would you call CPS and not poison control?

This is exactly what I was thinking! hemlock is natural too but I bet no one here wants to injest it! We specifically chose not to use the teething tablets because it has belladonna in it! (Belladonna is a poisonous plant.)
