I like names such as Alexandra, Alexandria, Alessandra, etc. but DH doesn't. He does like the nn Lexi. Are there any other full names you can think of that could have Lexi as a nn? TIA!
We called dd Addyson, and spelled it that way because we were in love with Addy as a nn. Well, needless to say, she's never called Addy and I just cringe when people call her that!
So, if you love the idea of your dd being called Lexi, just go with it as is!
My sister's full name is Lexi, and she was named after another girl whose full name was Lexi.
I don't think it's for everyone, but it suits her (and, according to my mom, suited the other girl) perfectly. She's bubbly, fun, energetic, talkative and upbeat. I can't imagine her with any other name, and certainly not with a longer "more formal" one.
So if you like Lexi, use Lexi. I'm not normally a fan of NNs as full names, but I think it works for some people. It's a name that packs a punch. I like it.

Good advice, thank you. We thought about that, but I really want a longer name to go with our 1-syllable last name. I'm not really in love with Lexi at all, but DH and I are having trouble finding anything we agree on... so since we both agree Lexi is a cute nn, I'm figured it's worth seeing if anyone has any suggestions we hadn't thought about.
Just, please, please avoid "Alexia." It might be an accepted name, but it's also a medical condition resulting in the inability to read.
Thank you! Why did I not think of going to that website?!
I have some experience with neurological disorders, and therefore am familiar with alexia as such. And still I never would have associated the name with the disorder. Now I probably will every time I see it! lol

Oh, and my advice would be to just name her Lexi.
