Can I ask a stupid question

When you have multiple follicles, do they all get released at the exact same time (I picture microwave popcorn) or is it a gradual thing over 24 hours where a couple dribble down slowly? Any insight is appreciated.

I'm not really sure.  If you do a trigger shot, you are supposed to ovulate about 36 hours later so I picture I would figure they would release around that time.  Probably not exactly at the same moment, but I would think it would be a lot less than a 24 hour time period.

I'm not sure either, but I think that it would pretty much be at the same time.  Good question though - now I am really curious.

When I had my trigger shot I was told all mine (2 mature at time of trigger & 1 caught up in the time frame) were all released within hours of each other.

I was told the trigger shot would cause all of them (even the smaller not mature ones) to release within 24 hours.
