Doula Recommendations for Akron

Hi ladies,

I'm due x-mas eve and am starting to research doulas. Who have you used and did you like her? I'm delivering with the midwives at Paragon and am looking for someone to support me in natural childbirth.

I would check out www.DONA.org.  You will see all the DONA certified doulas in the area and then you can set up appts with a few until you find one you like and one who is available.  Congratulations on your pregnancy and your pursuit of natural childbirth.  Best of luck to you.

I asked my dr for a recommendation.  She had worked with the doula on many births.  Maybe start there? 

I loved, loved, loved my doula but she lives in Willowick so I'm not sure he covers Akron.  Here is her website.  Her name is Kim Wright.

I am using a doula from birth and beyond, https://www.birthandbeyond.org/ They seem great. I have had a doula before but we did not live in the area at that time.

I know you are very closely approaching your edd or past? But I saw that you used midwives at Paragon and I am switching from an OB from a different practice to Molly in Green, what are your experiences during or after delivery? My SIL used them and loved it I just wondered what you thought
