i am thinking for xmas i am going to ask for a carrier i can use when lo is bigger, something i can carry him on my back with. What is everyone's favorite? what has good reviews? thanks everyone!

oh if t helps, i'm not so much looking for the hiker type, more an everday one. thanks!

Most people here have an Ergo, Beco (Butterfly or Gemini)  or Pikkolo. All have good reviews. It kind of depends on your size, how you would like to carry LO and just what is comfortable on you. These are all buckel soft structured carriers. You can also carry LO on you back using a woven wrap or Mai Tai.

Of the SSC's the Gemini and Pikkolo have the most flexibility in ways you can carry LO because you can also carry them in from facing out. I have a Pikkolo and it is a good match for me since I have a small build. Pikkolo's are wonderful for people with average and small builds because they adjust down small but if you are plus size the Ergo (I think) has a waist band extender.

There are a lot of websites out there that allow you to rent carriers to try them. I would suggest that if you can (or find a baby wearing group in your area) so you can see what is comfortable for you. One website where you can rent them is Granola Babies .
