Are you passing out goodie bags for preschool Halloween parties?

I got some small play-doh, crazy straw and candy necklaces for DD's class tomorrow. DH thinks that no one will pass out that stuff for her party.

I'm pretty sure there will be others, but now I am second guessing myself.

  • Our school does their own goody bags to give out to the kids.  They're candy-free (a few allergies in the class, plus a lot of parents don't want the candy) and don't really allow the parents to pass out their own.  If the tradition is that your school does them, then go for it.  Mention it to the teacher and see what she says.

  • No I never do goodie bags for school.  Our preschool has a signup sheet for the party and the teachers all say that its not neccessary.  They usually do goodie bags themselvs.

  • My ds halloween costume parade and party is today. We had to sign up to bring in party items. I have to bring in treat bags, and spider rings. The teachers will fill the bags w smarties candy, the rings, marshmallows, crayons, lil slinky, stickers.
  • Apparently I am one of the few who didn't do them. Their party is today, and I felt like an idiot showing up without a treat.

  • It is what I signed up to bring but last year DD came home with a backpack full of stuff from the kids in her class.

  • Our school has a sign up sheet for treats. The kids make their own treat bags there and then fill them with the treats the parents signed up to bring. So they kind of put together their own goody bags while there.
  • Our school allows bags of goodies or treats like cupcakes or munchkins, they just ask that you tell the teacher what you plan on brining.  No peanuts or hard candy is the only request from the school.

  • We were asked not to bring in candy/goodie bags, so no.
