Actually, I just enjoying a tasty caffeinated, carbonation-laced can of evil goodness right now.   Coke Zero, how I have missed you.

This weekend?  I expect drunk Bubbly to come out.  She's missed you guys.

I'm embarrassed that it's so easy...

I got my infusion jar here.  You don't need one if you just make sure you use a glass container.

Apples - cored with one of those apple corer/slicer things
Cinnamon sticks (I used 8 sticks)
Stoli Vodka (it infuses the best IMO)

Make air tight for a week.  Drink.

Very yummy with hot apple cider, or by itself in a chilled martini glass.

I pretty much always have some sort of infusion going.  My favorite summertime mix is Pineango Mint (pineapple, mango, mint).   Xmas time, I'll make a peppermint infusion w/ rum.

Warning: do not eat the fruit after.  All the flavor is in the vodka and all the vodka sting is in the fruit.

ETA: Enjoy!

That sucks, shopgirl!!  Now I have four drinks - well, maybe more b/c bubs totally beats me by a ton so a few for her, one for shopgirl, one for me and Id didn't see what happened to FFG, but I'm sure she deserves a few too.  Drinks all around!

Thanks for the info.  I'm totally trying the peppermint infused rum idea (and the apple vodka).  Now I need an excuse to have a party and show off my new tricks. 

ETA - Went back and read FFG's post.  Ugh.  What a shitty day for everyone!!

Man, this is like a crock pot recipe for alcoholics like me!  Nice!  Well, I'm not an alcoholic, but I do enjoy adult beverages.  Preferably ones that contain vodka...and are easy to prep.

joy - I think this will be a permanent fixture on my kitchen counter. For serious!
