Re: PG-Mom-TTC update

  • As you know, I've been back to work since yesterday.  It's not quite as awful as I thought it would be.  We are very lucky to not only have my mom watching Caroline, but also coming to the house.  It's only Day 2 and so far, so good.  The worst part was that my train which should have gotten into the station at 6:07, got in at 6:40.  It's a huge difference when you can't wait to get home to your baby, especially on the first day back.  Nothing like sitting on a train for over an hour!  It was so nice that when I peeked in on C both yesterday and today, she was already awake, just waking up I guess so I was able to get her, change her and play a little before work.  She is the best in the mornings!  Also, last night she stayed up and played with me until 9.  Let's hope it continues to be positive.

She will be 3 months on Thursday.  She is lots of fun and I can see a little more of her personality coming out.  She is such a little cutie pie.

  • Well my kids schedules are completely messed up.  They are going to bed and getting up 2 hours later which really doesn't work with Rowen going to school so he has been a very tired little boy the last couple of days.  I wanted to keep them on their schedule but it just wasn't possible with everything that was going on.  The good news is Phoebe will actually sleep in her carseat now.  Used to be all she would do was scream but with all the driving around we had to do she has started napping in the car now.

Phoebe wants to sit up now.  When you lay her down on her back she spends the entire time trying to sit up.  She looks like she is doing crunches.  Then when it doesn't work she gets mad.  So I have spent a whole lot of time the last couple of times holding her in the sitting or standing position and then she is completely happy.

I just can't believe how big she is getting.  She is completely out of 0-3 month clothing now.

  • C is doing great these days. He has developed a pretty good daytime nap routine and is sleeping for about 7 hours straight at night, then eats and sleeps for another 3-4 hours. I'm hoping this doesn't change once we move into our new house this weekend...but am thinking it might take him a few nights to get used to his new surroundings. He still fights me a little on going down for naps, but is getting better each time, even though they still only last 30 minutes.

I can't wait for his 4 month appointment in 2 weeks to see how big he is now. he has gotten so long he is almost outgrowing his 6 month pjs!

We are getting our family pictures taken this weekend (praying for no rain) so hopefully those turn out cute so we finally have some of the 3 of us together. And we can't wait to get all moved into our new house this weekend and finally have space of our own after 6 months of living with my mom!

  • We have our first ultrasound/doc appt one week from today!!! I'm soooooo excited!!! I can't wait to hear that everything's ok! Good Luck to all the TTC girls!! **baby dust** for all of you!
  • I passed my 3 hour GTT test, so no GD for me! We also finished our childbirth classes last night, and I'm so ready for Kari to be born already! Well, except for I have half of my Christmas shopping left and I want to be finished by Thanksgiving, and I really want to get my house cleaned - too bad I'm never home! Life is good - I have 70 days left til my due date per The Bump, and we are down to counting the weeks in single digits next week. Eeek.

Hope you are all doing well!

  • The new milestone of the week is that Ava wants to pull up to a sitting position when she is laying down.  It seems like rolling over is an "in the mood" thing and is spending time with Josh.

Besides that Ava and Mya are doing pretty well.

  • Time is going by so fast, I can't believe I only have 12 weeks left!  DH and I watched "Laugh and Learn, caring for a newborn" tonight since we aren't doing any of the prenatal classes.  He kept turning down the volume saying "ahh, she's crying so loud"  lol  I kept telling him that Kate won't have a volume button, so he has to get used to it.  We're picking up the dresser this weekend, and the first shower is Nov 7, I'm so excited!
  • Reese is getting to be so much fun. She smiles & "talks" & laughs like crazy. It's a blast. As I mentioned before, we are having a BFing hiccup. Yesterday was great, & then tonight she got hysterical halfway through her bedtime feeding (after getting bottles all day while I was at work). Sigh. One day at a time.
  • You can add me to the pg list Smile EDD June 12.

This week has introduced me to the all-day sickness. I don't know how I'm going to continue to teach through that if it's going to continue. Yikes. I am also totally exhausted at the end of the day and haven't had a night for a week when I don't cry for one reason or another. In short, I'm kind of a mess Smile, but I love it all at the same time. I'm starting to get more hopeful that this one will stick around...

  • Congrats again Laura!  Good luck to all the TTCers. :)

This week has been awful.  G is back to waking up every 2-3 hours at night and he's not napping well during the day.  I'm exhausted!  It's amazing how quickly you forget the newborn stage.  I don't remember being this tired.  I guess it's harder now since he's so active during the day.  I'm hoping this is just a growth spurt.

He did learn how to roll over this week.  It's actually consistent enough that I know it's not accidental anymore.  I was so proud!  He did it like 6 times in a row that first day then I went to get the camcorder and of course he wouldn't do it again.

I can't believe he's going to be 4 months old next week! Crying

  • Natalee- I'm glad to hear that your going back to work is going okay.

Good luck to all of our TTC's!

I can't believe that I am next on the list to have a 1 year old.  Birthday planning mode is in full effect!  DH is OOT until next Thurs. so it's just Mommy & Son time until then.

I caught a little girl kissing Nathan at daycare.  Full on the lips.  He had the biggest smile on his face it was hysterical...although a little upsetting that he is getting "licked" at school since he keeps getting sick ALL THE TIME.

Although *knocking on wood* we have been healthy for 1 1/2 weeks.  One day at a time.

  • Not much going on here.....G has her first cold....Poor peanut.....
  • We haven't been "trying" to hard lately.  My sister is having a DW at the end of April and I definitely want to be able to make it since I'm the maid of honour.  We aren't exactly TTA either, I guess if it happens it happens.  I hate not "really" trying though....good lord, I'm 35 and my age and TTC has been worrying me lately.  It's not like I have the next 10 years to make this happen, that is if I'm lucky enough to have it happen at all.

  • Natalee - Glad things are going well at work. I'll be asking you for advice once I have to go back after the bean gets here.

Good luck to all those TTCers. Sending lots of baby dust your way!

Had my check in this morning. I still can't believe I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow. Things are getting uncomfortable and I am going to see if they will let me work for home a little more in the coming weeks. If things get really bad, I might be asking to get pulled before Thanksgiving if I can. Sitting at my desk just stinks. Otherwise, LOTS of kicking and we have a maternity shoot this weekend. :) I'm starting to get excited about meeting our little one.

  • A, like Ava, is trying to pull herself up.  She looks like she is doing baby sit ups, and gets really mad if we don't help her sit up.  Still no rolling over though.

  • I'm 14 wks 1 day today, and I'm finally starting to get a bit of a bump. The anatomy scan is scheduled for December 3rd, and I'm excited to find out if we're cooking a boy or girl.

    Good luck to everyone TTC!

  • Mady's kicking/punching got WAY stronger last night.  All of a sudden, she's gained her strength.  Movement was finally able to be felt from the outside last night and Brett FINALLY got to feel her.  He was kind of freaked out, I don't think he realized just how hard she'd kick/punch him.

We're getting paint samples to try and start on her room.  The dresser is being delivered tomorrow and I'm not sure what the status of Mady's crib is.  (My sister was going to buy it, but, at this point, after my shower, I'm not sure what she's going to do.)

Good luck to the TTCers!!!  I can't believe how much all of our ND babies are growing!
