RR Fall festival question

Anyone been to this?  We planned to go last year but we did not make it.  The link says to come in costume and it's in BOLD.  If we go, I really don't want DD to wear her costume (it's on loan, it's pricey, and it's super hot).  If you've been, do most kids wear costumes, or do they come in regular clothes?  If they're all in costume, I'll just whip something up that she will be more comfortable in - but it would be easiest if she could just wear regular clothes.

TIA

Re: RR Fall festival question

  • A friend and I went last year when it was at the Rec center and all the kids were in costume.

  • I plan on bringing Kate in part of her costume.  She's a bumblebee and she'll wear the onesie for sure.  She might wear the tutu if she'll leave it on.  I'm probably not messing with the wings or the antennae.

This. I didn't see any kids in plain clothes, BUT it was inside last year and it was much cooler (if memory serves) this time last year.

  • Ditto others -- everyone is generally in costume.  But I'm sure you could do one of those $3 Halloween shirts and not feel out of place.

  • I watched the promo video from the park's website and there were kids just wearing jeans and a halloween t-shirt.  I don't think you HAVE to be in costume.

DS' costume is really basic (overalls, plaid short sleeve shirt, straw hat = Old McDonald. Can you tell who didn't plan ahead!?), so I don't think you have to worry about your LO being in her regular costume.  I don't think they'll turn you away if she's in her normal clothes. :)

  • I mentioned it below, but we're going in regular (Halloween themed) clothes. I know the girls will be more comfortable. :)
