Diaper Pail

Hi All, I'm very new to the CD thing so sorry if this is a silly question...  What do you use for a diaper pail?  I was planning on just using a standard kitchen can and getting a liner but noticed on FuzziBunz site they recommend and open pail. "Store soiled diapers in an open air pail or hanging diaper pail to let air circulate. A closed pail may cause mold if you let the diapers sit too long between washings." I'm not sure what "too long" means but I don't think I have enough diapers (yet) to possibly get into this issue.

I just use a standard step can that had been laying around the house not being used before.  It has a lid and I have not had any problems, I wash every 2-3 days.

I have two dogs, so I chose to have a step can with a locking lid as a diaper pail.  I wash every other day and have not noticed any mold.  The inside of the pail has a slight ammonia odor if you stick your head way down in it, but otherwise it's been fine to use.  I rotate between two Blueberry liners.

I use a lidded w/step pedal and Kissaluvs Antibacterial liner.  I wash every 2 days and keep some baking soda or RnG Shake It Up in the bottom.

we just have a regular wicker hamper from pier 1 with a lid that we use with this kissaluvs pail liner. it's only been a couple of weeks but it's working great so far! we wash every 2 days fwiw.
