Daycare CD Success!

Yesterday was my LO's first day at daycare, and the CDing went pretty well! They require a foot-operated pail with a disposable liner, then they bag each dipe in its own bag. At night we bring the whole thing home and repeat. Wish I could get away without all the plastic bags, but if I recycle them I think it's still better than disposables!

Re: Daycare CD Success!

  • Yay!  Very awesome that your daycare will use CDs!  However, that sounds like a lot of disposable plastic use....  Would they let you use a pail liner or wet bag instead of the disposable pail liner?  Would they let you use small individual wet bags instead of wrapping each dipe in a disposable plastic bag?  I don't really see a difference between wet bags and sposie plastic bags, esp. the pail liner/wetbag and a sposie trashbag.  It's in the trash can/pail anyway -- they don't touch it -- so what's the difference?

  • I had a large wetbag to use as a pail liner, but they told my DH they didn't need it (he did the drop off.) I'll try again when I drop him off, but I never considered individual wetbags, I'll see if I can convince them!
