Moving into own rooms?

Our boy/girl twins are almost 19 months and I'm having visions of a cute girly room and fun boys room decor, but at this point I'm not sure if putting them into their own rooms will affect them or not? When are you/have you put them into their separate rooms?

I am looking forward to seeing these answers.  Right now I am thinking it will be sometime around 24 mo or so, when they transition from their cribs.

We moved them into their own rooms early; like five months. We had the room and they weren't tuning out each other's crying anymore - one baby kept the other one up and when one was crying, the other would start. So far, it's been great.

I can't speak for moving them once older but our boys went into their own rooms at two weeks...they kept waking each other up (yes even at that early age when they should be able to sleep through anything : /) and we had the extra room. We actually did 2 nurseries while I was pregnant while we still had time, just in case them being in the same room didn't work out.

so far its working out great....they aren't the same size so I actually find it easier to have the different size diapers and clothes all in one room instead of trying to figure out whats what in one room.

My friend moved her b/g twins into their own room when they moved to their new house - they had just turned 2.  If space wasn't an issue, I would probably do it when they turn 2, but since it is an issue, we will wait until they are closer to 3 when we remodel or move.
